About The FSMSCLL
The FSM Supreme Court Law Library(s) (FSMSCLL) is composed of a total of four libraries. The main law library is located in Palikir, Pohnpei at the FSM Supreme Court Main Office, and one library located in each of the three FSM Supreme Court Offices located in Chuuk, Yap and Kosrae. The two law libraries located in the states of Yap and Kosrae are shared and operated by both the FSM and the State Courts. With the generous donations and support received from members of the judiciary, legal profession, family members, and other law libraries in the Pacific, our collections of legal materials continue to grow. These materials enrich the library’s legal collections and are used by researchers to improve users’ collective understanding of FSM’s laws and beyond. FSMSCLL gratefully acknowledges the generosity of its donors and benefactors who have supported our law libraries throughout the year.

2022 FSM National Law Day
Greetings from Palikir Pohnpei!
2022 FSM National Law Day is one of the court's annually sponsored programs that features high school students representing their states of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Yap in debates on issues of national significance.
The purpose of the Law Day, when it was first organized and held in 1991, was to involve high school students and the general public in discussion of issues important to the Federated States of Micronesia as a developing nation and to commemorate the birth of the FSM Supreme Court. The FSM Supreme Court was established as the highest Court of Nation on July 12, 1981. The Federated States of Micronesia, through the Supreme Court, has been providing the opportunity to high school students to participate in the development of our nation through debates on issues important to the FSM, and the same opportunity has been given to the general public to be involved in these discussions as well. The FSM Supreme Court and the Law Day Organizing committee once more invite everyone to join us in celebrating the FSM National Law day.
This year, we celebrate fourty-one years since the establishment of the FSM Supreme Court.
2022 FSM National Law Day Topic:
“NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CONGRESS OF THE FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA SHALL ENACT LEGISLATION ESTABLISHING MINIMUM WAGE FOR THE FSM.”
Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, this year's National debates will be done virtually (video conference) and will be hosted by the great state of Chuuk. July 12th 2021 falls on a Monday.
